One day, almost 7 years ago, I was walking to my ‘9 to 5’ when I received a completely random phone call from my Mum over east, who’s exact words were, “I was watching MAFS last night, and I was thinking, you should become a celebrant.”
At the time, I had lots going on in my life and wasn’t sure how I could possibly throw celebrant study and a new business in the mix. So I thanked Mum for her idea and got back to the ordinary day to be...
But that call planted a seed and after doing some research, I was fascinated by the nature of weddings and how planning them can feel like a full time job. How despite the amount of time people usually have to plan their day, the day itself still feels a little stressful or overwhelming. And how couples often feel obliged to design their day based on ‘what they think they need to do’ rather than ‘what they REALLY want to do!’
So given that I really enjoy helping people, and love problem solving (perhaps a little too much) I set out to change the nature of weddings all those years ago…
To make them 100% personal, fun, and completely stress free! 🥳
😍 I’VE SEEN SOME THINGS 🫣
What began with celebrancy, evolved into various other roles throughout the day, and to date, I’ve been a part of almost 300 weddings. I’ve worked with some awesome vendors, have helped some incredible couples, and have seen so many different ways to ‘do a day’.
And although the tide is slowly turning, after almost 7 years, those ol chestnuts of planning a day being ‘a lot’ OR couples not feeling empowered to plan a day they ACTUALLY want, still remains. In fact, I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve heard phrases like, “Josh, where do we even begin with planning our day?” or “Really? We DON’T have to do that? Cos we really don’t want to!”
So far I’ve helped many couples plan a day they’ve LOVED! But when the clock strikes 12am, and the couple give me a big grin and a hug, and tell me how much they were able to relax and truly enjoy their day, all those hours of preparation and many, many little details are well and truly worth it! To me, that’s a great job well done!
And now, my goal is to help as many couples as I can experience a day that they REALLY enjoy, which to me, comes down to a simple ‘formula’:

Little details are our jam!! So we'll help you consider and plan absolutely everything and solve any/all little ‘problems’ that may pop up along the way.
